  • 2025: Year in Review

2025 was a hard year for me in business, but a special year for my family.

At the start of the year, I thought I would push my work harder and grow faster. But life had other plans, and honestly, I’m not mad about it.

In April, I became a father. My son was born, and everything changed for me in the best way. My days started to feel different. My mind was not on plans, goals, and numbers anymore. It was on my family, on my baby, and on being present.

Business wise, 2025 was not good. I didn’t give it real time. I didn’t chase new work like before. I didn’t move fast. I didn’t build the way I wanted to. And yeah, that hurt sometimes.

But when I look back, I know why it happened. This year, I spent my time on my family. I chose home over hustle. I chose my son over the screen.

So if 2025 looks “slow” from the outside, for me it wasn’t slow at all. It was a new chapter. A year where I learned what matters more.

Next year, I want balance. I want to be a good father and also show up for my business again. But 2025 will always be the year my son arrived, and that’s bigger than any business win.

  • 2024: Year in Review

    Hey 👋

2024 was a hard year for me. Life got messy, and I couldn’t focus the way I usually do. Business felt slow and heavy, but this year still taught me a lot about health, family, and perspective.

    Business

I’ll be honest — business wasn’t great this year. My focus was not there, and sales dropped hard. I didn’t ship anything big, and I didn’t have the energy to push like before.

    • Sales went down around 80%
    • No new product launch
    • No major updates shipped
    • Divi Torque Lite hit 50K active installs
    • Pro still got some decent sales

    Personal Life

This year forced me to look at my health seriously. I had issues I couldn’t ignore anymore, and I decided to fix my lifestyle instead of delaying it.

    • I dealt with fatty liver and high cholesterol
    • I decided to take health seriously and focus on recovery
    • I finished my village house
    • Seeing my mother happy from that meant a lot to me

Learning / A Moment That Changed Me

July 2024 was a tough time. The student-people uprising made me think differently about Bangladesh. When I saw the younger generation, I felt hope again. It reminded me we have potential, and the future can be better with the right direction.

  • 2023: Year in Review

    Hey 👋

2023 was a solid comeback year. We rebuilt our product line with a clear direction, and things started moving again. Personally, I also made a big decision that felt scary, but important.

    Business

This year we rebuilt and repositioned our main product properly. It helped us grow both the free version and the pro version.

    • Rebuilt BrainAddons Pro as Divi Torque Pro
    • Grew the free version: Divi Torque Lite
    • Added 300+ new Pro customers
    • Free version crossed 30K+ active installs
    • Free modules got featured on the Elegant Themes website

    Personal Life

I’m not the best investor, but I still took a big step. I bought a flat in Dhaka city. It was a risky move for me, but I wanted to build stability.

    • Invested in a flat in Dhaka
    • Big decision, big responsibility

    Travel

Most of the year was simple. I stayed close to home and work, but I did take a short break.

    • Mostly stayed in Dhaka and Nilphamari
    • Short tour to Sreemangal (Novem Resort)

  • 2022: Year in Review

    Hey 👋

2022 was a builder year. We shipped a lot, gained attention in the Divi space, and proved we can grow with products. It was busy, but it was rewarding.

    Business

We released many plugins and built strong momentum with organic growth.

    • Released 6–7 WordPress plugins
    • Products under DiviPeople.com (Pro focused)
    • Used by hundreds/thousands of website owners
    • Listed in the Divi Marketplace (Elegant Themes)
    • Marketing was mostly organic, not heavy ads

    Highlights

Black Friday was the biggest moment of the year. That night was crazy.

    • Big Black Friday campaign
    • Around $20K USD in a single night
    • That one night almost matched the whole year total

    Personal Life

This year I started working on something close to my heart — a village house for my parents. It’s not about profit. It’s about duty and happiness.

    Travel

Not much travel, but one trip was special.

    • Mostly stayed in Dhaka and Nilphamari
    • Short tour to Sylhet (Lalakhal) for a few days
    • Lalakhal is perfect for nature lovers visiting Bangladesh

  • 2021: Year in Review

    Hey 👋

2021 was a turning point year. COVID made life slow and uncertain. At the same time, I started building my plugin business seriously. It was not easy, but it was the start of something real.

    Business

I stopped doing mainly client projects and started building a WordPress plugin business full-time. PlugPress.io was born, and we started releasing Divi addon plugins. My older plugin WowCarousel also did well and supported the journey.

We also joined our first Black Friday campaign, and it went better than expected.

    • Started PlugPress.io
    • Released Divi addon plugins
    • WowCarousel did well and brought revenue

    Life

COVID lockdown kept everyone at home.

This year also pushed me toward simple things. I cooked more at home and learned a few new recipes.

I uploaded photos to Unsplash, and two of my photos reached around 7 million views combined. That was unexpected and honestly pretty cool.

One of our relatives got COVID while she was pregnant. Sadly, she lost her unborn child, and it was heartbreaking for us. But she fought hard, recovered, and Alhamdulillah, she is well now.
